Our Mission

Since EDCO was founded in 1959, our goal has been to build high-quality, easily serviceable, long-lasting equipment for use by the surface rehabilitation and maintenance industy. To achieve this goal, we manufacture all EDCO equipment in one location, our 85,000-square foot facility in Frederick, Maryland, assuring quality control during every step. Our dedicated team strives for 100 percent user satisfaction.

The "Rental Tough" trademark signifies our involvement with the equipment rental business, which has always been our proving ground. What better way to introduce a product line and prove its dependability than to make it available from a reliable source - for trial, for rent or for sale!

With the cooperation of our worldwide network of dealers and users, we'll continue to improve our products and introduce new and innovative tools for use on the next generation of flooring materials - always aiming to reduce labor, save time and help control costs.

More than 50 industries use EDCO products to grind, scarify, remove surface materials, scrub, clean, saw, finish and prepare concrete for overlays, waterproofing membranes, joint sealing, and terrazzo and epoxy installations. As high-tech advancements are not only made in communication, but also in the use of concrete and other building materials, EDCO will continue its leadership role in the Surface Preparation Industry. Contractors continue to face growing concerns regarding a shrinking workforce, tighter production schedules and increasing environmental regulations - while at the same time paints, coatings, mortars and floor coverings are more difficult to remove or repair. These challenges will create greater demands on manufacturers for more productive, more portable, and more cost effective equipment.

EDCO's newly expanded manufacturing facility will allow us to develop new products - to complete jobs faster, to reduce or eliminate health hazards and to wrap up projects within budget. We are expanding our product offering, redesigning new accessories for existing products to increase utilization. We are exploring new but related markets and increasing our distribution in the U.S. and worldwide to make EDCO products easier to purchase.
