EDCO’s PRO-Tooling Line Aims to Broaden Application + Use for Customers

EDCO’s emphasis on expanding their tooling aims to increase usage for specialty contractors while also enhancing customer efficiencies

EDCO has long been the go-to equipment provider for contractors that are looking to maximize their time and efforts on projects. Their emphasis on “strip, grind and remove” solutions have made them an industry leader in this space and users have come to rely on the company and their experts to achieve quality results.

In an effort to maximize contractor benefit in the space, EDCO has expanded their tooling line to better meet the needs of end users, providing a more comprehensive package for their customers.

“We have primarily sold our products to the general rental industry and have noticed that smaller independents have created specialty flooring divisions and outlets within their own organizations,” Tony Calcopietro, Sales Director of Rental at EDCO said. “With flooring, there’s different layers or levels of stripping, there’s different levels of grinding, there’s different levels of removal and we’ve seen these pro contractors wanting that specific tool for their application or need. They don’t want a generic all encompassing strip, grind and remove and that’s where the expanded PRO-Tooling line comes in and serves that need. They’re coming to us for the solution and we have it.”

Introducing EDCO PRO-Tooling

The EDCO PRO-Tooling offerings include the next-generation of products for end-users, allowing even more choice based on application. These products were developed from years of industry experience and feedback from users where EDCO engineers have been able to zero-in on the needs of contractors and develop the tooling that would bring them the most benefit.

“We know that professional contractors are looking for specialized tools,” Gary Ondrus, Corporate Trainer at EDCO said. “We decided now was the time to rise to the challenge to deliver them with the full support the industry needs.

“The EDCO experts are in the field and in rental houses listening to the needs of their customers. We’re proactively looking at what they need and having conversations with our clients, then our partners and our manufacturing partners as well,” Ondrus continues. “As a result, this expanded offering will benefit all contractors. The tooling goes beyond the needs of entry-level contractors and provides a broad range of solutions for those with specialty applications.” The PRO-Tooling line of products are geared toward those who are looking for niche products for niche applications and include the following: (Visit edcoinc.com or edcostore.com to view the full line of Magna-Trap® PRO-Tooling)

Like the company has always done with their offerings, EDCO will continue to expand this tooling line based on customer feedback and industry demand.

Equipment + Training Provides Overall Tooling Advantage

As well as EDCO is known for their equipment, their tooling also provides distinct advantages in the marketplace and the PRO-Tooling line will continue to build upon that.

“These products have always existed within the EDCO line, but it’s now time for us to expand upon the needs of the general contractor and give specialty contractors what they need as well,” Calcopietro said. “We want to partner with specialty flooring solution locations to offer that complete range of products again. Products that have been evolving to be longer lasting, better supported and a better overall value for these contractors.”

EDCO PRO-Tooling line is also available for equipment outside the EDCO line, expanding EDCO quality to more customers and keeping the brand top of mind for other use-applications as well.

“Our success is a result of our connections with our customers calling us first and EDCO offering the solution they need,” Ondrus said. “They ask us if certain tools can go on certain equipment and we’re now saying yes. With PRO-Tooling, we want to take that and flip it. Instead of them calling us, we want to start calling on them and saying these pieces fit on other machines as well which will maximize their investments. From there, we can introduce them to the PRO-Tooling family of products and take them down another path of success.”

In addition to these new products, EDCO aims to continue their mission of providing the best training and support for their products and PRO-Tooling will be no different.

“We have always worked to help our end users understand their application and needs but with PRO-Tooling, we’re going to be a little bit more selective and continue to qualify the application,” Calcopietro said. “We will still continue to educate on the traditional methods for those that need the standard strip, grind, remove application, but now with expanded talk tracks that offer more products and training for those that require additional output from their equipment and tooling.”

EDCO will rely on their existing partnerships and dealer locations to expand the broad use of these tools, increasing efficiencies for rental companies and end users, making these products more readily accessible through the 1000s of rental dealers that exist today.
